Murder For Two, a new musical comedy starring Jeff Blumenkrantz and Brett Ryback, has been extended one week at off-Broadway’s Second Stage Uptown. Originally scheduled to play through August 10, the production will now continue performances through August 17 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. Opening night is set for July 25.
Featuring a book by Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair, music by Kinosian and lyrics by Blair, Murder For Two mixes classic musical comedy with a dash of Agatha Christie. Everyone is a suspect in this house of eccentric characters unfazed by the dead body on the floor. But this whodunit comes with a killer twist: one actor investigates the crime (Ryback), while the other plays all thirteen suspects (Blumenkrantz). Plus, they both play the piano!
Murder For Two features scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Andrea Laurer, lighting design by Jason Lyons and sound design by Jill BC DuBoff.
